みんな質問のメールくらいしかの部分に釣られてプロトコルの話になっているけど、世代や話の流れを考えるとコメントの1号が、たぶん正解。

日本だと、インターネットは蜘蛛の巣状だからウェブなんだよって説明もちらほらと。逆に、ウェブはインターネットの一部と説明する人はほとんど見かけないと思います。
かなりの人が、mistakenly believeの方を信じてしまったのかもしれませんね…
